CUPS – printing system in Linux
CUPS is a modern and universal printing system for Unix systems. It can be used for both local and network printing – it supports the IPP protocol by default. After properly configuring the device, we will be able to print from almost any program, CUPS accepts print command calls in the style of the classic LPD system.
The CUPS system can be both a server and a client, the function of the installed “device” is determined by the choice of a special interface driver: backend (except IPP) and configuration.
You can manage local printers at http://localhost:631
